teaching online was never an easy task for any teacher, specially in Lebanon, since we are all new to this experience, there are many challenges we might face while teaching online. calling a student name to get him on doing a certain activity or task and getting no reply is one of the major problems teachers might face . you can never make sure if these students are actually on task with the teacher or not because you are not physically there. on top of that, the internet connection is so bad in Lebanon and we get a lot of complaints from students and their parents about the sound lagging and that the students didn;t hear my voice well and thats a major problem we face.

I very much agree with you. In our country, there are many problems with the Internet and electricity. Also, as you mentioned, the teacher does not know whether the student is attentive and following or not. But we must not forget that there are also advantages to online education.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jad! Especially the students and teachers weren't trained enough to make this teaching process work well! The teachers are really working hard to make everything work well!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that on lebanon istead of talking of the real challenges of online teaching, we talk about electricity, salary, and technical problems! We are born fighters as lebanese, and I do not think anyone can cope with such struggles. We yet always shine like diamonds in the sky... Shout out to all lebanese teachers !!
